Last week we learned about the importance of avoiding sin in the face of suffering. Today we look at how our suffering is an opportunity to draw near to Jesus, and the suffering he endured. This passage helps us see that suffering for the sake of Jesus is not a picture of God’s absence in our life, it is a picture of His presence.
