Last week we talked about how upside-down and backward Jesus’ approach to life can be. As Jesus calls us to bring this news to the people in our world we often find it challenging to do that in an authentic and compelling way. Jesus uses the metaphor of salt and light to help teach us how to influence those around us in such a way that makes this backwards way of life become something that is not only credible, but that might satisfy their hearts’ deepest longings.
