Compass church is located in uptown Vancouver, Washington (USA). We had our first service in September of 2005 and have seen rapid growth. We began the Divine Communication series by talking about the incredible sacrifice Jesus endured on the cross to make it possible for us to pray and draw near to God. Seeing that God would go to such great lengths to pursue us and draw near to us motivates us to make prayer a priority

This morning we are considering how incredible the gift of prayer is. The more we learn about what God endured to make prayer available, the more we will discover how incredible it is the God hears us and is accessible to us.

At the very end of the book of Matthew, Jesus give his disciples a commission that applies equally to us today. Jesus told them that is was there turn to go and make “Jesus students” out of every person that they came into contact with.
